Η οδός Στουρνάρη εκτείνεται σε μια ευθεία γραμμή: ξεκινάει από το κατειλημμένο ΒΟΞ και την πλατεία Εξαρχείων, περνάει απ’ το Πολυτεχνείο, τα θέατρα στο ύψος της Πατησίων, το Υπουργείο Υγείας και καταλήγει στη λεωφόρο Αχαρνών, δίπλα στους απόκληρους της πλατείας Βάθης. Εκεί περπατούν ανήσυχοι άνθρωποι, πολίτες, καλλιτέχνες, επιστήμονες, πρόσφυγες, μετανάστες, φοιτητές. Εκεί έχουν ξετυλιχθεί κοινωνικοί αγώνες, πορείες, συγκρούσεις για έναν καλύτερο και δικαιότερο κόσμο.

Οι Stournari Street Band παρουσιάζουν ένα ιδιαίτερο live project στηριγμένο σε αγαπημένα τραγούδια (Νικόλας Ασιμος, Εν πλω, Παύλος Σιδηρόπουλος, Τρύπες, Μουσικές Ταξιαρχίες κλπ),  σε απροσδόκητες διασκευές και σε δικές τους συνθέσεις. Άλλωστε και οι ίδιοι έχουν μακρά πορεία στην ελληνόφωνη σκηνή. Με ελεύθερη προσέγγιση δημιουργούν μια «δεύτερη ανάγνωση» των τραγουδιών  με αυτοσχεδιαστικό προσανατολισμό, κατασκευάζοντας ηχοτοπία, και “κλείνουν το μάτι” στις εξωστρεφείς και ψυχαγωγικές στιγμές του προγράμματος.

Stournari Street stretches in a straight line: it begins at the occupied VOX and Exarchia Square, passes by the Polytechnic, the theatres along Patission, the Ministry of Health, and ends at Acharnon Avenue, next to the outcasts of Vathis Square. There, restless people walk: citizens, artists, scientists, refugees, migrants, students. There, social struggles, marches, and clashes have unfolded in the name of a better and fairer world.

The Stournari Street Band presents a unique live project based on beloved songs (Nikolas Asimos, En Plo, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Trypes, Mousikes Taxiarhies, etc.), unexpected adaptations, and their own compositions. After all, they themselves have a long history in the Greek-speaking music scene. With a free approach, they create a “second reading” of the songs with an improvisational orientation, constructing soundscapes and “winking” at the extroverted and entertaining moments of the program.
