DESCRIPTION:Workshop in English – Registration Mandatory (Limited spots – 10 participants per workshop) \nDo you remember the stories\, dreams and thoughts of your younger self? \nCome and unravel tales and feelings\, and discover new ways of looking at life -and art- in an introspective creative morning.  \nJoin us for Cyanotype Tales — a creative journaling and cyanotype workshop\, part of Larnaca Biennale 2025’s parallel programme under the theme Along Lines and Traces. Through guided reflection prompts and by making an original cyanotype print of a photo of their younger self\, participants will trace the stories of their childhood whilst learning new art techniques. \nPart 1: \n-Grounding\, unwinding\, playing & storytelling \n-Guided journaling exercises observing the photo of our younger self & remembering old thoughts and experiences  \n-Optional sharing & reflections \nPart 2: \n-Introduction to the experimental\, alternative and cameraless cyanotype process from the 1840s \n-Preparation of cyanotype paper \n-Creation of our original cyanotype print using our personal childhood photo \n-Result with a unique blue portrait print to take home\, frame and keep \nHow might our perspective shift when we work closely with our younger self? \n*A photographer/videographer may be present. SUMMARY:Curator's Walk
DESCRIPTION:The curator’s walk takes place through the streets and shoreline of Larnaca during the Biennale\, where the city itself becomes both setting and subject. Inspired by David Le Breton’s notion of walking as a way of inscribing meaning in the world\, the walk invites participants to encounter Larnaca not as a backdrop but as a living body of memory and movement. \nRather than a conventional guided tour\, the walk becomes a shared choreography of attention. Silence\, listening\, or reflection are introduced as ways of attuning to Larnaca’s layered presence. In this way\, the city reveals itself as archive and stage\, both fragile and enduring. \nThrough the act of walking\, participants inscribe themselves into Larnaca’s ongoing story. Each step creates a fleeting but intimate bond with the city\, echoing Le Breton’s insight that walking is a way of weaving meaning into the fabric of the world\, here experienced in the context of the Biennale as a living\, participatory exhibition. \nStarting Point: Piale Pasa (exact starting point upon registration) \nEnd Point: Larnaca Historic Archives Museum \nAt the conclusion of the walk\, a special guest talk (+40 min) is offered to those who wish to stay further. \nREGISTER NOW
