Οι καλλιτέχνες ανοίγουν τα εργαστηρια τους και υποδέχονται τους επισκέπτες\, ενώ το Larnaka Tourism Board προσφέρει ξεναγήσεις σε όσους θέλουν να γνωρίσουν την ιστορία της πόλης και της περιοχής\, αλλά και να συναντήσουν τους δημιουργούς στον χώρο τους. \nΟι περιηγήσεις ξεκινούν από το Κάστρο της Λάρνακας στις 16:30 (αγγλικά) και στις 16:45 (ελληνικά)\, με τελικό προορισμό τα ανοιχτά εργαστήρια των καλλιτεχνών στο Πάρκο Μεσόγειος\, στην Πιαλέ Πασιά\, όπου οι βραδιές συνεχίζονται με μουσική και άλλες ευχάριστες εκπλήξεις. \nΚράτηση θέσης απαραίτητη / Αν χρειαστεί να ακυρώσετε\, παρακαλούμε ενημερώστε μας εκ των προτέρων. SUMMARY:The Lines and Traces of Identity
DESCRIPTION:Masked play is a powerful theatrical tool that unlocks creative freedom and inspires dynamic character work. Gestural mime fosters a precise physical language that leads to clear\, nuanced\, and emotive storytelling—reminding us that actions have power and the body speaks. \nIn this workshop\, led by Anana Rydvald and Zach Fraser from Montreal\, Canada\, participants will use full-faced and half-masks to explore physical storytelling with a playful\, improvisational spirit. Together\, they will develop complex\, authentic characters while pushing creative boundaries\, taking risks\, and discovering new layers of voice\, body\, and emotional depth. \nConnecting to the Biennale’s theme “Along Lines and Traces\,” the workshop investigates how gestures and movements leave physical and symbolic marks—traces of history\, identity\, and imagination. Masks\, as both concealment and revelation\, become abstractions of these lines\, embodying the stories we carry and the identities we shape. \n* This workshop is in English suitable for ages 16 and up. Open to all. SUMMARY:Togetherness - Resonances of Expression / Public Performance
DESCRIPTION:Togetherness converts digital speech into generative art through linguistic analysis\, sound processing\, and visuals. Created during an S+T+ARTS residency at Sony CSL\, it fosters the perception of hidden emotional connections in online language. \nThe artwork\, powered by Amrita—a living algorithm developed by the artist through his research on AI and spirituality—transforms text into evolving musical and visual compositions inspired by behavioral theories from Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman. \nAudiences participate by submitting phrases via devices that are interpreted in real-time\, co-creating unpredictable\, evolving symphonies alongside the algorithmic entity and the human musician. \nThe work exists as performance or installation\, requiring projection\, screens and audio systems. By sublimating language into harmony\, \nTogetherness reimagines digital dialogue through multisensory perception\, revealing the invisible emotional threads that bind us together via our contributions to the infosphere. SUMMARY:Unspoken Messages / Public Performance - Installation
DESCRIPTION:At Zouhouri Square\, Liv Ingeborg Ottersen is present for the entire duration of the Larnaca Biennale\, welcoming visitors and inviting them to take part in her evolving artwork. \nCatch Liv Ingeborg Ottersen on October 16th from 17:30 to 20:00\, alongside multiple performances at Zouhouri Square\, or visit on any other day during the Biennale. \nThe work begins with delicate strips of colored tulle\, each threaded with fine cords\, inviting passers by to attach their personal messages. Soft\, almost iridescent shades of tulle create a dreamlike\, floating backdrop. Over time\, the fragments are woven together on-site\, forming a flowing curtain that transforms as contributions accumulate. \nParticipants are encouraged to write wishes\, reflections\, or private thoughts on small pieces of paper\, folding them into sealed notes before fastening them to the hanging threads. These notes act as visual markers\, recalling traditions in which offerings are placed or tied within sacred or communal spaces. By remaining sealed\, the messages emphasize the interplay between what is revealed and what is kept hidden\, offering intimacy while preserving mystery. \nAs the installation expands\, it evolves into a living\, dynamic record shaped by communal participation\, showing how words\, intentions\, and interactions leave enduring marks on each other and the shared world. \n– \nΣτην Πλατεία Ζουχούρη\, η Liv Ingeborg Ottersen είναι παρούσα καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της Λάρνακας Μπιενάλε\, καλωσορίζοντας τους επισκέπτες και προσκαλώντας τους να συμμετάσχουν στο εξελισσόμενο έργο της. \nΔείτε την Liv Ingeborg Ottersen στις 16 Οκτωβρίου\, από τις 17:30 έως τις 20:00\, μαζί με άλλα public performances στην Πλατεία Ζουχούρη\, ή επισκεφθείτε την οποιαδήποτε άλλη ημέρα κατά τη διάρκεια της Μπιενάλε. \nΤο έργο ξεκινά με λεπτές λωρίδες πολύχρωμου τούλι\, κάθε μία περασμένη με λεπτά κορδόνια\, καλώντας τους περαστικούς να επισυνάψουν τα προσωπικά τους μηνύματα. Αυτά τα σημειώματα λειτουργούν ως οπτικοί δείκτες\, παραπέμποντας σε παραδόσεις όπου προσφορές τοποθετούνται ή δένονται σε ιερούς ή κοινοτικούς χώρους. DESCRIPTION:The audience is invited to walk in silence\, following the performer through the city. Each stop is marked in chalk\, a temporary sign of presence and absence\, guiding the audience to stand where the unfolding action can be most deeply felt. Participants are free to stay as long as they wish during the walk. They are encouraged to keep photography to a minimum and to move through the city’s streets with care.
