The official announcement of Biennale Larnaca 2018 took place on the 14th of March 2017 at the Cultural Center of the Larnaca -Famagusta Cooperative Bank.
A vast crowd of people honoured the event . Amongst them were members of the Cyprus parliament, municipality city councelors , the founder of Pierides Museum , the president and representatives of the Cyprus Fine Arts Association, well known businessmen , artists , local institution representatives and of course many art lovers.

The curator of Biennale Larnaca 2018 , Vasilis Vasileiades, analysed the basic principles of Biennale Larnaca and its subject “Content and Container”.
On behalf of the organisers , artist Michael Elia presented the vision of Biennale Larnaca 2018 and the terms and conditions of the first biennial event ever organised in Cyprus.
On behalf of Larnaca municipality , the municipal councelor Athos Kazatzis stressed out the Municipality’s support in this great cultural event that will take place in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Yiota Demetriou, the Biennale Larnaca press officer presented the history of Biennial type events and how it has become a medium for artists from all over the world to present their work and invited all local and international media to support the event.
Maria Papadopoulou, responsible for marketing promotion, social media management and organisation of parallel events made a thorough presentation on the ways of promotion, the website of biennale, the social media of Larnaca Biennale (Twitter, Instagram and facebook) and of course the official hashtags #larnacabiennale2018 #larnacabiennale and#bepARTofit. In addition in relation to parallel events there is an open call to send a proposals for a parallel event during Larnaca Biennale . Deadline for submission is on the 30th of September 2017 and all proposal should be send at the email biennalelarnaca@gmail.com.
